A beautiful story about Law of Karma.

Here is a beautiful story about Law of Karma.

The story goes like this.

Gopies in Vrindavan wanted to catch Lord Krishna while eating their butter. They planned and brought their butter pots near the river of Yumuna. They kept their pot under a tree near the bank river Yamuna and were hiding behind a bush to watch when Lord Krishna was arriving. Suddenly Lord Krishna appeared with His cowherd friends and found these butter pots laying under the tree. He took each of these pots and started eating. Suddenly the Gopies appeared behind the bush and caught Lord Krishna in red hand. They told, O Kanaiya, you are great thief. You always steal our butter. Now we found you in red hand. So you have to get punished.

Krishna said, O Gopies! I never ate your butter. Why are you lying? Why are you blaming me unnecessarily?

Gopies Said, O Kanaiya. Don’t lie us. We saw you eating butter in our own eyes! How cannot we believe our own eyes? You are great lire?

Thus they started calling each other lire!

Finally Lord Krishna Said, let us find one third person who knows this. Suddenly they saw Vysya Deva is coming. Krishna said, Vysya Dev is knower of everything. He can tell you the truth. Ask Vysya Deva whether I ate your butter.

So now they looked at Vysya Deva and Vysya Deva was smiling. Gopies asked Vysya Deva, O Vaysya Deva, you are knower of whole universe and a sage of your own name. We saw Kanaiya to eat our butter. How come He is denying? Can you please tell us the truth who ate our butter?

Vysya Dev sat for a while and did meditation. Then He came back and told Gopies.

Oh Gopies, I confirmed that Kanaiya did not eat your butter. So don’t blame Him.

Now Gopies cannot believe. They told Vysya Deva, can you please give us a proof to believe Kanaiya did not eat our butter?

Vysya Dev told, yes I can. He told, I will ask Yumuna and She watched while you kept the butter.

Thus Vysya Deva spoke, O Yumuna, If you saw Krishna not eating the butter please be separated and give me a path to cross you immediately. As soon as He uttered, Yumuna got separated and Vysya Deva crossed the Yumuna by walk.

Now Krishna explained to Gopies. O Gopies, what you saw, you did not saw really. Vysya Deva wanted to test your butter with my tongue. So I did not eat your butter.

Since Lord Krishna is supreme personality of Godhead, He knew what Vysya Deva was looking for. Thus He took the butter on His behalf.

The moral of this story is, we can become free from our Karma only when we know who actually performed it. Otherwise we need to suffer for that Karma even though it is performed by someone else. Since we are not having knowledge of the soul, we are unaware who the actual doer is. What we normally see in our own eye that is not the actual truth. The truth is the soul and its doer.

Even in Christian faith, people saw Christ to sacrifice lamb and eating meat. Since Christ knows who the doer is, He is free from that action. When we follow this action by eating meat, sacrificing animals, we are caught for that action and suffer for that sin. To become free from our Karma, we need to achieve the knowledge of soul and for that we must follow the path of Vedic system and their true masters. In this current time, I can see Baba Ramdev is one of such spiritual master who is really helping people to become free from their sufferings.

So we should not follow just seeing other to do. We must follow the true masters and their instructions like Baba Ramdev and many others.

Mourning

Now a mourning
Outskirts of the land
Barren and lonely
I cannot attend though
Too far but very close to me
Today in my heart and forever!

That’s not the end of life
It is the morning sun
Even in the sky of lights
Like a moon that is too bright
To my mind although it night!

We will meet again
Somewhere in the sky
Someone may see us talking
Or riding a bike
Would you be there waiting for me?
